Job Title: Account Manager
First job in the industry: Retail marketing for American Express
Area of expertise: Organisation, data analysis, report writing and relationship building
What do you love most about account management?
I see myself as a people person, I enjoy interacting and networking with new clients and suppliers. There is so much variety in account management that no day is the same. Each campaign journey is different, I love seeing an idea come to life.
What inspires you when it comes to direct mail?
As I am starting out in the Direct Mail industry with Dragonfly, I am passionate to learn all things print. I am inspired to work alongside a great time with years of experience. I have already learnt so much in my time here at Dragonfly.
I am a millennial that loves everything old school! Whether its old pop hits or the smell of a hard-back book. From Girl Talk to Cosmopolitan and now being Vouges biggest fan, I have always been a stickler for print magazines.
As a bargain hunter who’s always looking for the best deals, I get excited to see a discount voucher in one of my many shopping packages or fall through my door. This is one of the many reasons I love direct mail.
What interests you the most about direct mail?
The organisation, planning and prep that goes into a single mail piece before it falls on your doorstep.
I was mind blown by the high tech machinery used at such a fast pace to produce mail pieces on my first factory visit.
The teamwork and the efficiency prior to production. At dragonfly it’s always a smooth process.
Combining my love for old school mail and my expertise in account management, I am excited for my journey with Dragonfly to blossom.
Is there anything about you that you think people would be surprised to know?
In 2017 I packed my bags and travelled Asia and Australia for 6 months. After arriving in Australia I shortly fell in love with it and stayed there for 5 years, my gap year quickly turned into my new life.
Favourite ad/marketing campaign?
I love this advert campaign as most people can relate to it in a post covid world. It puts perspective on the tough time everyone had during the pandemic and really plays on the viewers heart strings.
Is there anything about print that you were surprised to know?
I didn’t realise until working for Dragonfly how many touchpoints were in the creation of one single mail piece. From the planning, to creative, to account management and the processes that are carried out in mail houses. I definitely appreciate mail more than I ever did!
