How Dragonfly embraced the IDM’s Award in GDPR

As an ISO27001 certified organisation member of The DMA and a company who believe in the importance of relationships built on transparency and trust we all agreed it was imperative that the entire team undertake the IDM's Award in General Data Protection Regulation as soon as possible.

Management consensus was that the best learning process would be to split the agency into study groups of varied expertise and seniority. Then, each group would spend one morning of intensive study wherein they could discuss live examples together to maximise the relevance of the material. This method proved very successful with every member of the team passing the final exam before lunchtime with scores over 80%.

Vicky Grant commented: “Taking a collaborative approach to study has given the entire agency an increased appreciation and passion for a subject which many consider to be both daunting and dry. Our successful education on the subject has increased our confidence to the extent we have now begun hosting a series of GDPR themed events.”
