Name: Kirsty Tedford
Job title: Junior Account Executive
First job in the industry: Junior Account Executive
What is your area of expertise:
I am good at organising and have a high attention to detail. I would not say I am an expert in anything and I am definitely still learning every day.
What do you love most about your job?
Definitely the team! Everyone is so nice, and we have such a great time in the office. Coming into this job with no previous industry knowledge was very daunting but everyone is so helpful and filled with so much knowledge and love for the print industry. It’s infectious.
In a digital first world, what excites you about print?
I’m all about the sensory experience. The smell and the feel of print is my favorite and always gets me excited.
What’s caught your eye on your doormat?
Anything in a fun shape or special texture always catches my eye. I love something that simply cannot be ignored.
Where is your mail spot in your home?
Right at the front door. We put them up next to the keys initially, then we will have a look through when there is a little collection sat there.
We are all in office 3 days a week at Dragonfly HQ in Edinburgh’s lively West-end, tell us something about your weekly journey to the office?
I use the time to read my book – I feel like it’s a good way to begin and end the working day and have some time away from a screen.
Your best work from home tip?
I always make sure I get some fresh air before or during the working day – either by walking my dog, Joey, at lunch or going for a morning run.
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
Teleportation! I would love to easily see the world and go wherever I wanted whenever I wanted.
If you didn’t do this your job would be….
I think I would own a Café/Bookshop/Bakery. Or I would LOVE to work in a doggy daycare or shelter just so I could spend all day hanging out with dogs.
